Facial Feminising Surgery (FFS)

Mr Douglas believes that every patient deserves individualised treatment. Depending on the goals of treatment many surgical options may be considered. The surgeries outlined below are the most common providing major steps in a patient's journey. Ultimately it is through time spent discussing that each bespoke treatment plan is drawn up. Patients are encouraged to participate in the computer aided planning process in preparation for their surgery.

Jaw reshaping

A more feminine jawline is considered to be slimmer, higher and less flared compared to masculine. Softer, smoother and more rounded contours are achieved by using custom 3D guides to ensure precise symmetry. This is done entirely through the mouth meaning no external scars.

Chin reshaping

A more feminine chin is considered to be slimmer, and more rounded compared to masculine. Softer, smoother and more rounded contours are achieved by shaving down the bone. This is done entirely through the mouth meaning no external scars.

Forehead reshaping

The profile of a more feminine forehead is smoother and more rounded compared to masculine where there is a prominent ridge at the level of the eyebrow. Using precise custom 3D guides, the ridge can be removed and the forehead recontoured whilst allowing the hairline to be lowered to a more feminine level.

Hairline lowering

A more feminine hairline is lower compared to masculine. Either separately, or combined with forehead reshaping, the hairline can be lowered using a special incision technique that enables the hair follicles to regrow infant of the hidden scar.
